January Outreach Event with Chengetai, Tereai Trent International

In January, Living Dreams International partnered with organization Chengetai to host its very first outreach event.
Women at Chivakanenyama and Zvimhonja Secondary Schools attended a lecture on menstrual health, learned to make their own reusable pads, and received both disposable and reusable menstrual pads.

Women Changing The World Global Summit

Kayungwa joined Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and Dr. Tereai Trent at Fairmont Windsor Park in England, where where she served as a panelist at the Women Changing The World Global Summit and Awards on May 25, 2024.
Then, she won the bronze medal for 2024 Nonprofit of the Year for her diligent efforts to change the lives of young women living in rural Hurungwe in Zimbabwe.
Moving Forward

The Living Dreams International team has discovered a need for underwear, as women are not able to use their knowledge of menstrual hygiene or use reusable pads without underwear.
Moving forward, our team will take this information into consideration and continuously seek to discover the systemic needs of young women and students in rural Zimbabwe - striving towards a world that eliminates period poverty and provides access to education for all students.
